Students from Kaospilot are hosting the Camino at the music festival Northside in Aarhus. They bring both skaters, an art exhibition about pigeons, knitters and delicacies such as pancakes and edible worms. It takes place this weekend, all is for free and everyone is welcome.

This weekend Aarhus will be full of happy festival goers who are on their way from the city centre to the Northside festival site. To make their trip more festive kaospilots have organized an 800 meter long street party on the “Brabrandsti”.

–  “The Camino is like an oasis where people can get in the right festival mood – and even be pimped up for the party,” says Carina Munkholm who is a first year student at Kaospilot and project leading the Camino 2016.

She is collaborating with many local contributors who will surprise and inspire the guests. Among those is a physics show, a knitting bar, worm-manufacturers and “Gro Selv” that will both build furniture from excess materials and create an alternative, “secret” path on the Camino.

– “When you walk along the Camino you are presented to a lot of new knowledge and things you may never have tried before; for example to eat worms or listen to a pigeon sound installation,” says Carina Munkholm. She is thrilled by the great involvement from the many volunteers.

I have really sensed a great creative urge from all the volunteer contributors, says Carina Munkholm.

She looks forward to seeing the reactions of both the festival goers and by passers when all is set on Friday afternoon and the Camino welcomes everyone with lots of surprises.
